Kathryn Cartlidge - Dog Groomer and Trainer

In 2018 I bought my van and embarked on my dog grooming journey. Not long after I began grooming it became clear that many dogs weren’t just nervous, they were overwhelmed. Whether it was past bad experiences, painful matting, or simply the unfamiliar sights, sounds and smells of the environment. I found myself having honest conversions with owners, explain their dogs were going through and being asked the same question over and over,

‘How can I help my dog feel better about this?

That question stayed with me. I wanted to do more than just groom, I wanted to help rebuild confidence.
So I delved into training techniques, learning how to turn fear and stress into calm and trust.

About 18 months in I had a bad dog bite to my ear and finger which knocked my confidence a lot but again had me thinking a dog doesn’t just do that, they is a reason behind it, in this case the dog had a sore toe. I was determined to get my confidence back, I worked alongside another groomer I knew for about 6 months and completed some training with IMDT to gain more knowledge about body language and behaviour.

My business starting coming together again and I was excited for the things to come.

Where are we

The Studio is based in Cofton Hackett, B458PY.

All About Grooming offers a mobile grooming service within a 2 mile radius, if you are outside the area more than welcome to come to the Studio.

( Currently we are not able to take on any new clients for grooming, only stand alone nail clips)

A low-stress environment, where each session is tailored to the dogs specific needs, this could be nail trims, noise/feel of the dryer, touch and much more.

An initial consultation will be required to see if I am the right fit for your dog and if they are to me.
